On October 17, 2020, the 22nd meeting of the Standing Committee of the Thirteenth National People's Congress amended and adopted the Law of the People's Republic of China on the, Article 18 stipulates that parents or other guardians of minors shall provide minors with a safe family living environment and promptly eliminate potential safety hazards that may cause injuries such as electric shock, scald and fall. To prevent minors from being injured by traffic accidents, such measures as equipping children with safety seats and educating minors to obey traffic rules; Raise awareness of outdoor safety protection, to avoid minors drowning, animal injuries and other accidents. The new law will come into force on June 1, 2021.
